About
I have listened to music as my main hobby since 1983.
I listen to grindcore a lot, also a lot of noisecore, I have a weak spot for good pop too. As long as I feel some kind of groove or joy, I don’t give a fuck about the genre.
I’m too old to be bothered by what people think (at least that’s what I pretend).
When I started this blog, I was very focused on it as a vinyl only blog, but I don’t really care what format the music is stored on, as long as it’s good music…
Here is my last.fm charts: https://www.last.fm/user/Sortebob
“Somebody said CDs are better than vinyl because they don’t have surface noise. I said, “Listen, mate, *life* has surface noise.”
– John Peel
“Questions like favorite album/artist/genre/label/cover are utter bullshit. People less consumed with music can easily give you those answers, but I (and those of my tribe) simply cannot, and that’s just the way it is.”
– Greg Casseus
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been seeking a good place to discover great music without having to sift through utube and googling to know who’s who on my drawing nights (being broke and not working to a music store anymore).
If you know of a band that merge Neurosis/ Dead Kennedys/ Melvins/Slayer with that raw/dry 70’s punk sound let me know. As you see i mostly know of the tip of the iceberg…still stucked on my old bands and i’d like to expand but ’till now i’m not getting over 70’s to mid-nineties madness (me being an old stubborn and picky lady). Anyway, thanks again.
Erase that comment after reading. There’s no need to destroy your about page 🙂
Thank you for the comment. That particular mix of bands I’d love to hear too. I’ll recommend you to look at my last.fm account http://www.last.fm/user/Sortebob there you can sift through my – somewhat embarresing – listening habits 🙂
I might end up playing’em all simultaneously with utube 😀
I wasn’t expecting Kukl!! Your a real Gem! Today i’m grateful for that internet invention thing. Thanks!
It’s a pleasure.
