Sepik – Hunt The Ghost
I thought I’d never do this… A download only release on a vinyl blog. But then again – rules are there to be broken, right?
Sepik is all about groovy riffs and catchy choruses. The lyrics deal with not being too young anymore, dealing with tinnitus and other age-related stuff. I feel a deep bond with Sepik. This is a tribute to all us middle aged noiseniks.
It was released on Jay Randall’s Grindcore Karaoke label in 2013, and has gone unnoticed by the masses ever since – undeservedly so! Hence I decided to spread the word of this ought-to-be classic!
Enjoy!

V/A – Hiatus, The Peaceville Sampler
This is one of the best 1980’s compilations I know of, alongside A Vile Peace and Hardcore Holocaust, this is top notch! I especially like the variety of the genres on Hiatus. Gold, Frankincense and Disk Drive was a strange band to put on a punk compilation, but in a peculiar manner they fit comfortably. I suggest you track down a copy of this gem, the video below is of GF+DD, as I think they deserve to be heard more. Other good bands on Hiatus are Electro Hippies, Doom, Sore Throat and Extra Hot Sauce. Enjoy!

Sore Throat – Unhindered By Talent
Three Seconds Long!!! This is the lp that really defined the micro-song as a valid and beautiful genre for me. The amount of noisy drunken fun on display here is overwhelming.
“Out of tunes guitars, with broken strings, unintelligable growls, and smashed drum sticks. Unhindered by talent, but we don’t give a fuck, if you don’t fucking like it, then tough fucking luck.”
There is so much spite and venom in the lyrics, I remember being a crusty peacepunk being shocked at the anger towards D.R.I. and other bands. I just wanted everybody to be happy…
The Molecatcher and A Bow To Capital makes for well deserved breathers in all the great feedbacky racket. Both unusual but great. I still need to know more about Pete Pax.

Doom – Corrupt Fucking System
I’m happy to say that this is one fine Doom lp. Raw and vital with a filthy production. The lyrics are to the point and intense pieces of political poetry.

Eat shit and buy
Godstomper/Gorgonized Dorks – Split 10″
This 10″ split is one of the best split ep’s I know of. The music from both bands is killer and it is sure to satisfy the cravings of even the most demanding noisepunk.
As a bonus the pink 10″ vinyl looks like something out of Candy Crush.

Culture Shock – All The Time
I bought this lp when I lived in England in the early 1990’s. My main reason for the purchase, was that Dick Lucas from Subhumans sang on it.
I haven’t given it a spin for more than a decade, but it’s fresh and funny.

Massappeal – Jazz lp + 12″
I honestly can’t remember much about how I got this record, what I do recall is that I always have liked it a lot.

Billy Idol – Vital Idol
Sigh, my family name is Welling, back in 1985 the top cool thing to do in my school was singing
It’s a nice day to start again, it’s a nice day for a white Welling…
Fuck me, I still LOVE this lp. Everything about it is great. The perfect mix of pop and gilded punk.

Negazione – Wild Bunch/The Early Days
I first heard Negazione on a punk/hc compilation tape my crusty friend Allan bought from a punk on a train. I quite like the energy and ferocity of the recordings on this lp. The vox are on the verge of annoying at times.
