Repulsion – Horrified

The first time I saw the cover of Horrified, was as a patch on Bill Steer’s jeans, at the Napalm Death gig in Club Paramount, Roskilde, Denmark in November 1988.

At the time, there were three legendary bands that I really wanted to hear, Siege, Master and Repulsion. When this baby was released by Mr. Steer in 1989 on the Earache sub-label Necrosis, I was ecstatic.

And what a blast beat/distorted bass/gory lyric party I had. Still have for that matter…

Tonight I’m going to see Repulsion live here in Copenhagen, and frankly – I can’t wait!

FUCK!!

Extra Hot Sauce – Taco Of Death
If I could only listen to one lp for the rest of my life, I might select this masterpiece.
If you don’t trust me, then read the sticker.
The drummer is Dan Lilker, and this record is grossly forgotten by most.
The songs are catchy, the lyrics good fun, and the production is… interesting.

If you come across this gem, then don’t hestitate. Grab it! There are some good fun to be had here, AND a speedy Black Sabbath cover version….
Here is a bonus photo. It’s the Extra Hot Sauce demo tape. My buddy Kenneth owns it.

Napalm Death/Insect Warfare – Split Picture 7″

This slab of wax is a typical example of companies ripping off pretentious arseholes like me. Old recordings and novelty wax. Still, I’m totally stoked…

General Surgery – Like An Ever Flying Limb 7″

This is some groovy grindy shit. I love General Surgery heap much, and consider all their releases to be essential for the mature grindfreak. If you’re into recycled redesigned classic Carcass riffs and ditto worship, this is for you!

Heja Sverige
Chelsea Light Moving – Chelsea Light Moving

Funny, noisy, catchy rock. Need I say Moore?

Chelsea Light Moving – Heavenmetal/Communist Eyes 7″

This little bugger was included in the Chelsea Light Moving Lp released this March. Fun stuff. The single has two tracks:
1. Heavenmetal
2. Communist Eyes
These songs aren’t on the Lp, but are on the cd.

Limbs Bin – Primitive Response 7″
Massappeal – Jazz lp + 12″

I honestly can’t remember much about how I got this record, what I do recall is that I always have liked it a lot.

Converge – All We Love We Leave Behind
To be honest – I hated this record at first, second and even third listen. But I kept trying – partly due to the great reviews, and partly due to my buddy Jeppe’s constant preaching about its qualities.
