Sabbat – History Of A Time To Come

“Bell, book and candle, candle, book, bell,
Forwards and backwards to damn me to Hell.”
I still remember my scepticism when I was told that there was an English thrash band called Sabbat. I decided to give their lp a chance, and was rewarded with this beast of a thrash lp.
The lp here, is bought on Discogs, as my original lp was sold to my brother in one of our many trades.
And yeah, this record is recorded in West Germany.
Thrash!!!

Condemned? – Humanoid or Biomechanoid?

As a longtime Attitude Adjustment and Attitude? fan, it was fantastic to discover this lp. They are still around it seems, if any member of Condemned? ever read this, then know that your music made a huge impact on me.

I ordered this at Radio Holm in Ribe in 1987. Then I forgot to fetch it, and then found it at a discount in Radio Holm half a year later. I’ve always loved this twisted slab of hardcore. Vastly underrated in my opinion…

Joy Division – Closer
Repulsion – Horrified

The first time I saw the cover of Horrified, was as a patch on Bill Steer’s jeans, at the Napalm Death gig in Club Paramount, Roskilde, Denmark in November 1988.

At the time, there were three legendary bands that I really wanted to hear, Siege, Master and Repulsion. When this baby was released by Mr. Steer in 1989 on the Earache sub-label Necrosis, I was ecstatic.

And what a blast beat/distorted bass/gory lyric party I had. Still have for that matter…

Tonight I’m going to see Repulsion live here in Copenhagen, and frankly – I can’t wait!

FUCK!!

Extra Hot Sauce – Taco Of Death
If I could only listen to one lp for the rest of my life, I might select this masterpiece.
If you don’t trust me, then read the sticker.
The drummer is Dan Lilker, and this record is grossly forgotten by most.
The songs are catchy, the lyrics good fun, and the production is… interesting.

If you come across this gem, then don’t hestitate. Grab it! There are some good fun to be had here, AND a speedy Black Sabbath cover version….
Here is a bonus photo. It’s the Extra Hot Sauce demo tape. My buddy Kenneth owns it.

Massappeal – Jazz lp + 12″

I honestly can’t remember much about how I got this record, what I do recall is that I always have liked it a lot.

Converge – All We Love We Leave Behind
To be honest – I hated this record at first, second and even third listen. But I kept trying – partly due to the great reviews, and partly due to my buddy Jeppe’s constant preaching about its qualities.
